You, The Critic

Facets is crazy amped about Roy Andersson's You, The Living, which is screening at the Cinematheque this week and next. If you haven't seen it, you must. Period.

For those who have seen this wonderfully warped dark comedy, what did you think of it? Are you as jazzed as us, or are we off target?

Let us know!

It's stunning. I saw it at Toronto in 2007 and it left me barely able to form a coherent sentence. I desperately want to see it again. Please tell me there is a chance this may come to DVD on these shores soon...

I saw it (thanks to your twit) and it was INSANE! I loved it, and I remembered I adore scandinavian cinema :) The psychiatrist's speech cracked me up, and the wedding scene was fantastic. Simple, halucinating and sensitive in the same time. Thanks for the recommendation, it was the most memorable movie I've seen lately.

christina, i loved the wedding scene too! and how about the "pulling the tablecloth out" scene. so funny to watch, knowing they were messing with you by making it take so long.
